The fundamental aim of this project is to develop a solar-powered automatic weather station (AWS), which can be accessed via the website. Users can find out the weather changes in an area without
Automatic weather station measures various meteorological parameters such as wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity and ambient pressure. The data collected in the weather station can be monitored on site or transferred to a remote server. The SMART2000 Telemetry System is a Hi-Tec acquisition, logging, and control system based on
This database contains monthly data. It has precipitation data for 27 372 stations, mean temperature data for 20 825 stations, and minimum and maximum temperature data for 11 543 stations. This database includes long-term averages (1960 1990) as well as time series data for temperature and precipitation.
A typical wireless automatic weather station costing around £60, with the sensor array outdoors (left) and the console which displays and records the data (right). But don’t put too much faith in the forecast shown. A wireless automatic weather station and indoor console at the other end of the price range, costing around £900.
The MetPRO™ is a highly accurate, durable, research-grade meteorological monitoring station, designed for a wide variety of demanding environmental applications. This portable tripod station is suitable for both long-term and temporary deployments on flat or uneven terrain. This system includes high-quality sensors, which are needed for

How will the weather station work? The weather station, as I've alluded to, will be compose of three parts, those being: A Raspberry PI connected to a temperature and humidity sensor, via a GPIO (G eneral P urpose I nput/ O utput) Breadboard Extension. A Python script to read data from the sensor and store it in an SQLite database.
